SUMMARY Universal Orlando Resort Boat Drivers can set sail by piloting a Resort Yacht on a private waterway that takes our guests on a voyage to CityWalk and the Resort Hotels. A Resort Boat Driver canshowcase their outgoing personality by providing an engaging, interactive “spiel” while continually ensuring the safety of our guests.
Resort Boat Drivers at Universal Orlando are responsible for:
Piloting Resort Yacht on Universal Orlando’s private waterway, from UO Resort Hotels to CityWalk dock and back.
Piloting Resort Yachts, daily while providing an interactive “spiel” to guests and positively engaging and interacting with the guests, while maintaining expected guest safety and service levels. Loading and unloading guests and belongings, while maintaining appropriate passenger manifests per department P&P.
Cleaning Yacht and facilities, Inspecting Yacht for service issues and reporting to appropriate contact, daily.
Understanding and actively participating in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Consistent attendance is a job requirement
High school degree or GED
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Required ability to resolve guest situations
Required clear and understandable speaking voice.
Required to be comfortable giving scripted spiel on microphone.
Required ability to stand for long periods of time
Must have a clean driving record.
Must be able to complete the Basic Water Safety class, which consists of swimming (without touching the sides of the pool) and treading water. Each team member will be required to pass a DOT Coast Guard Physical, as well as random drug testing.
One to three years of boat handling experience, preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
